Description: The circumaural Hi-X55 Studio headphones offer maximum flexibility and stability thanks to the ingenious folding construction in addition to maximum comfort. All mechanically stressed components such as hinges or the headband are made of metal and guarantee a long service life even under the toughest conditions in the studio or on the go. The brand new 44mm Hi-X driver has been developed from scratch by Austrian Audios acoustics. This newly developed "High Excursion" technology allows improved airflow and the strongest magnetic field in its class. The ring magnet system combined with a copper-coated aluminium voice coil reduce the weight of the moving masses. This allows significantly faster movements and change of direction. The result is a greatly improved reproduction of transients and level peaks which is central to work on today's digital recording and mixing systems, and also guarantees precise reproduction of the deep bass range. A double-walled ear shell has been developed and installed for the best possible attenuation of ambient noise, such as preventing overspeech of the headphone signal on the recording. Another key criterion for headphones is wearing comfort. To ensure this, the shape of the ear pads has been completely redesigned so that there is now more space for the ears without having to increase the ear cups.
